ABOUT US:

P. Vassiliou & Son Contractors Ltd was founded in 1960 by Petros Vassiliou, with a vision to introduce and achieve the highest levels of construction quality in Cyprus. Over the last six decades, the company has grown from a handful of technicians, craftsmen and foremen delivering small scale residential works in Nicosia to one of the leading contracting firms in Cyprus.

Employing a number of highly qualified engineers and experienced technicians, the majority of which have spent their entire careers with us, and registered as an A’ Class contracting company by the Council for Registration and Control of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors, P. Vassiliou & Son is devoted to demonstrating exemplary levels of quality in the construction of residential, commercial and industrial projects as well as in the delivery of advisory and after sales services.

LEADERSHIP:

Managing Director: Vassos Vassiliou

Having completed a BSc in Civil Engineering at the University of Dundee, Vassos Vassiliou joined the company in 1983 as a site engineer and took over from Petros Vassiliou as Managing Director in 1995. With more than three decades of experience in construction supervision and construction and contract management, Vassos oversees the operations of the company as well as acts as the main point of contact with the firm’s clients.

KEY PEOPLE

Senior Engineer/Project Manager: Iacovos Iacovou

Iacovos graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1986 with a degree in civil engineering and joined P. Vassiliou & Son Ltd in 1989 as a junior engineer. The vast experience he has acquired ever since in providing solutions to technical problems and in supervising construction has allowed Iacovos to successfully manage and deliver challenging projects within budget, on time and, most importantly, to the quality standard that our clients take for granted.

Senior Engineer/Project Manager: Lefteris Psillos

Lefteris also graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1987 with a degree in civil engineering and joined P. Vassiliou & Son Ltd in 1990 as a junior engineer. In his current role as project manager, Lefteris consistently seeks practical solutions that showcase our company’s innovative edge.

Elena Nicolaou: Quantity Surveyor and Tendering Engineer

Elena joined the company in 2003 following her graduation from the National Technical University of Athens in civil engineering earlier that year. She is currently in charge of the preparation of the company’s procurement schedule, whilst her role also involves tendering for new projects.
